It is time for us to call it quits on this property. We have owned it for a year and suffered through two fires in the property. We keep throwing money at it and make no progress. We are currently working through the city red tape to get drawing to secure permits for the second time. While we have secured contractors and are ready to go, our private money is getting more expensive and it is more of a risk now for us to stay in this and see it through.
Foundation work was completed prior to the first fire by Revival Foundation. Two side walls were rebuilt and main support beam installed. A new roof had been installed prior to the first fire, then repaired before the second fire. Unfortunately the roof will need to be repaired yet again.
We purchased new windows and installed several prior to the second fire. They will stay with the property if sold. The property can also come with brand new vinyl siding (approx value $3000) that was purchased to install as soon as the windows were in place. We have been storing the siding safely at our personal property.
